Gartner® Report: Drive Employee Experience for Frontline Workers Using HR Technology

Workplace technology has grown by great leaps in the last several years. The pandemic quarantine forced most companies worldwide to adapt or fail, and technologies allowing for remote work were quickly adopted to keep people working. However, these new work methods weren’t much benefit to deskless workers, who were more likely to feel “disconnected” than usual office workers and who bore the brunt of workplace COVID changes. This disconnect has been found to be a driving force in employee dissatisfaction, causing retention issues, and fueling the mass attrition now being called “The Great Resignation”.

According to Gartner’s latest report, “Drive Employee Experience For Frontline Workers Using HR Technology”, nearly 40% of all employees were considering leaving their jobs within the next year.

This report will highlight how to craft a winning employee experience for your organisation. Key findings include:

  • Utilise multiple divisions to craft a solid EX strategy. IT, HR, and Operations must collaborate to achieve a full-sighted approach.
  • Frontline (Deskless) workers are currently being left behind. They do not have the same level of access to technology as their office counterparts and require different solutions to address their needs.
  • A proven tactic is to build upon your company’s pre-existing systems that are already frequently used by workers. Make the most of Task Management and Workforce Management Applications currently in use.
  • Think practical: deliver a solution that is accessible, practical, and fits into the flow of work.
Employee Experience Technology for Frontline Workers

Replacing staff is a costly and time-consuming endeavor. Improving employee experience has been proven to reduce staff attrition and help workers manage stressful work/life balance issues and have overall better feelings about their jobs. By identifying weaknesses in your organization’s strategies and providing deskless workers with the same capacities as other employees, these problems can be avoided and valuable workers can be retained.
