Industry expertise and best-of-breed features drove decision

The Claremont University Consortium (CUC) is a collaborative effort shared by several neighboring undergraduate colleges and graduate institutions to organize around common facilities, and share the administration and cost of certain employee and student services. Consistent with this mission, the consortium initiated a search for a system to replace the HR, payroll, and workforce management applications and offer higher levels of automation for greater control and a lower cost of ownership. CUC carefully examined the workforce management capabilities of HR and payroll software vendors and determined that these systems lacked essential functionality for higher education needs.

The consortium decided to select a best-of-breed workforce management solution that could seamlessly interface with Ultimate Software HR and payroll and automate all aspects of time and attendance. EmpCenter was the clear choice.
