As the CEO of WorkForce Software, Mike Morini is at the forefront of a rapidly accelerating industry that empowers employees and managers by digitizing time and labor processes, optimizing demand-driven scheduling, simplifying absence management, and enabling strategic business insight through cloud-based software.

A 30-year software veteran, he’s helped shape and guide multiple fast-growth companies in the competitive cloud arena through roles as CEO and COO at SAP, Aria Systems, OutlookSoft, InterWorld, and Verbind.

Following one of WorkForce Software’s most successful years, including the addition of 232 new or expanded customer relationships and a twenty percent increase in year-over-year revenue growth in the first half of 2021 alone, Mike was asked to join the GrowthCap Insights with RJ Lumba podcast for a wide-ranging 30-minute conversation about his early career and journey through the industry.

In it, he discusses scaling the Michigan-based software vendor to an international powerhouse with an increasing global reputation, attacking a $20 billion market, and navigating the path to become the number one provider of modern workforce management software—during a global pandemic, no less.

“I think we’ve weathered COVID well,” says Morini, discussing the company’s success and how it’s continued to improve the work lives of deskless workers over the past year and a half. “When you sit back and think, we’re helping our customers better serve their employees through a very troubling time. That gets our people motivated to get up and go and ensure we continue to deliver and help the employees out there struggling the most around the world.”

Each week, RJ speaks with CEOs, investors, and key industry leaders to uncover insights and share proven strategies for accelerating growth and creating a successful business.
