Mike Morini was an NFL football player before he became the CEO of WorkForce Software, and the sport has often informed his approach to business.
Notably, his favorite question to ask in job interviews is: “Do you hate losing more than you love winning, or do you love winning more than you hate losing?”
“[It] brings a smile to people’s faces,” Morini says. “They visibly relax. They realize this interview will be a little different. And it gives me the opportunity to see how well they think on their feet … especially about a question where there is no right or wrong answer.”
As for Morini himself, he hates losing more than he loves winning.
