• Residents can use a badge reader or web-based screen to record in and out times, or they may use a self-service or administrative interface for recording hours worked.
• Pre-defined rules monitor the duty hours of the residents, and when thresholds set by ACGME are exceeded the system alerts administrators via email or on-screen.
• Available reports show residents who are not in compliance or close to pre-defined thresholds where they may have a compliance issue.
• Special state requirements or other organization-specific limits can be incorporated into the flexible rules engine.
