Implementation Methodolgy
WorkForce Software’s pre-defined templates, surveys, and our unique WorkForce Best Practices ensure successful implementation. An overview of our implementation methodology is shown below.
Requirements Definition
Defining all requirements is essential to a successful implementation. To ensure that all requirements are uncovered, WorkForce Software uses a comprehensive requirements survey that covers key areas of time and attendance, including:
- System interfaces
- Time collection
- Labor distribution
- Workflows
- Attendance rules and discipline / point tracking
- Scheduling
- Pay policies, including overtime, shift premium, holidays, rate of pay, and premium pay
- Benefit/time off accruals
- Government regulation compliance, including FMLA and FLSA compliance
|
A trained consultant will walk through each part of the survey with you to ensure that all requirements are thoroughly understood and documented.
WorkForce Best Practices
Once we understand your key requirements, we create a plan to implement these requirements. A critical service offered by WorkForce at this stage is to recommend certain “Best Practices” and tailor them for your specific environment and requirements. These Best Practices were developed based on years of experience by our team where they learned the most appropriate way to accomplish a certain timekeeping task. See our Best Practices section to learn more.
Supporting “Custom” Requirements (Without Customization)

|
With the unique architecture of our solution, almost any requirement can be accommodated. Through the use of user defined formulas and scripts, even complex requirements can be supported without resorting to custom progrmaming. In the rare case where a system enhancement is desirable, we can work with you to accelerate the development into a new base system release, ensuring that you continue to run "off-the-shelf" software which is fully supported. |
Training

|
Proper training is a key to being able to successfully use any software system. Our staff can train you on the software so that you can quickly and efficiently use the timekeeping system. We also provide technical training that allows you to properly install and maintain the software and related system components. |
Software Installation
Prior to the installation, we help you choose the right type of hardware and software on which to run the system. When your environment is ready, we can install the software and train your IT staff in the proper procedures to install new releases and maintain the system.
Configuration and Testing
Once installed, the software must be configured for your specific requirements. Our Industry Solutions and pre-defined templates speed this process.
Once configured, you will want to test it through parallel test cycles. Our staff is available to help in this area as well to ensure that everything is working just right prior to releasing the software to your end users.
Support and Upgrades

|
After the software has been put into production use, WorkForce Software provides ongoing maintenance and support services. These services can be delivered in a variety of ways, including internet-based via a VPN. Various support packages are available including 24x7 support. WorkForce Software periodically releases new versions of its software to provide all customers new and improve capabilities. We can assist you in migrating your installation to new version.
