Company Seeks to Transform HR Processes to Create a More Flexible, Efficient Approach

LIVONIA, Mich. (October 28, 2014) – WorkForce Software, the leading provider of workforce management solutions, today announced that London Hydro, a local electric power distribution company that services the city of London, Ontario, has selected the company’s EmpCenter® Time and Attendance solution to streamline its HR practices and provide employees with a modern, convenient self-service solution.

London Hydro currently delivers electricity to approximately 150,000 customers spanning the residential, institutional, commercial and industrial sectors. A progressive employer, the company recognized an opportunity to strengthen its standing with current and prospective employees by delivering more convenient and flexible self-service tools. This goal, along with a strategic initiative to move HR applications to the cloud, prompted a search for a new workforce management solution.

London Hydro found that WorkForce Software’s EmpCenter suite was able to deliver on these requirements, offering a cloud-based workforce management system that could automate time and pay requirements across the entire organization. Tightly integrated with London Hydro’s new core HR solution, SuccessFactors Employee Central, EmpCenter will help the company minimize manual work and maximize efficiency gains. Also important, it provides simple and highly personalized self-service functionality to employees across the organization, especially critical as more employees use mobile devices.

“After considering a number of options, it became clear that WorkForce Software was uniquely qualified to deliver on our needs—an enterprise approach to time and attendance that could integrate with our other cloud-based systems and processes,” said Syed Mir, vice president, Corporate Services and CIO of London Hydro. “We are excited to implement EmpCenter because of its demonstrated ability to improve process efficiency, and our employees’ experience, as well.”

“We are seeing a major shift towards cloud HR applications in all industries, and London Hydro has a sound strategy for investing now in solutions built for long-term success,” said Marc Moschetto, vice president of Global Marketing of WorkForce Software. “We look forward to working with London Hydro to help the company provide a more effective, convenient and consistent workforce management process.”
