Job Opening for Project Manager
This position involves administering multiple large-scale time
and attendance implementations. You will be responsible for developing
and maintaining project plans and delivering projects on time and
under budget. Although you will not formally manager a team of
consultants, you will work closely with our implementation team
to obtain resources needed to be deployed customers.
Mandatory Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well with customers, including handling difficult
conversations
- Hold our team and customers accountable for project deliverables
and milestones
- Conduct difficult negotiations and meetings with customers
- Several years experience in developing and administering complex
project plans and timelines
- Formal training in project management a plus
- Experience in deploying limited resources to meet the most
critical requests from customers
- Experience with projects involving outside customers and administration
of contractual deliverables and timelines
- A candidate must be willing to travel to customer sites 10-25%
of the time
Desired Skills:
- A familiarity with business applications such as Excel is
important, and a background in payroll, HR, or time and attendance
would be very helpful
- Programming knowledge in any 4GL would be useful, but is not
required
- Experience implementing or working with packaged software
systems such as the HRMS applications from PeopleSoft, Lawson,
Oracle, SAP is a definite plus
- Knowledge of HR and payroll policies, procedures, and systems
such as ADP, Ceridian, or Pro Business is also a plus
- Experience with Microsoft Project desirable
