Enterprise companies spend millions in time and resources researching and procuring software for all aspects of their business. However, according to ZDNET, 68% of IT software implementations fail and are “doomed from the start.” Why such a high percentage? The simple answer is that a successful implementation is directly related to the caliber of their professional services team.
In the 12 years WorkForce Software has been serving the needs of its clients, we’ve maintained almost a 97% client retention rate. We’re proud of this achievement and sincerely appreciate the ongoing support of our clients. However, we also understand that like any aspect of a technology-based organization, we need to keep innovating.
Research and development of our software is imperative—and the same emphasis on continual enhancement applies to our Professional Services team activities and methodologies for implementing EmpCenter and supporting our clients. That’s why, in the coming weeks and months, we’ll begin introducing you to a new and expanded selection of service offerings aimed at helping you to better meet the rapidly-changing demands and challenges brought about by today’s dynamic workforce management environment.
You already know EmpCenter is a highly configurable workforce management solution. Through our new WorkForce Software 360 Services offerings, our support services will become just as configurable.
An example of a new addition driving WorkForce Software 360 Services is Change Management, a major component missing from commodity time and attendance implementations. One of the most critical factors determining the success or failure of an implementation is ensuring that all employees are “on board” and invested in the system and what HR/management is trying to achieve. With this service, a member of the marketing team works with the client to identify goals & objectives, and then develops an in-house marketing communications plan to accompany the rollout of the new EmpCenter solution. Materials may include brochures, e-mail templates, posters for break rooms, videos, intranet content and more.
When implementing enterprise-grade software, organizations tend to have employees displaced around the country and sometimes around the world. Panorama Consulting conducted a poll in 2010 concluding the top 2 reasons for failed implementations are not properly defining business processes and insufficient attention to change management. The first, not properly defining business processes, is already a fundamental component of WorkForce Software’s implementation methodology and a key factor in our success rate. Change management is highly underrated, a necessary step in a successful implementation, and will soon become a valued step in WorkForce Software 360 Services.
